Porsche Boxster s 987

Transmission type : Automatic "The Porsche Boxster S 987 combines a classic mid-engine layout with the more powerful 3.2 six-cylinder boxer and the open character for which this generation is known. The compact proportions, low seating position and placement of the engine directly behind the occupants ensure a balanced weight distribution and a driving experience that is clearly recognisable as Porsche.

The 3.2 six-cylinder boxer engine delivers 280 hp and is coupled to the Tiptronic automatic transmission in this example. This allows the Boxster S to be driven in a relaxed manner, but allows direct control over the gear changes via the steering wheel controls. Porsche Stability Management supports the balance of the mid-engine concept and contributes to confidence in dynamic operation.

The version is attractively composed in GT Silver Metallic and stands on 19-inch Carrera S wheels with coloured Porsche emblems. The combination gives the roadster a timeless and distinctly Porsche look that fits well with the lines of the 987.

Inside are leather seat upholstery, heated seats, cruise control and air conditioning. The BOSE sound system and the Porsche CDR 24 provide the audio, while the wind deflector increases comfort during open-top driving. An on-board computer and HomeLink garage door opener are also part of the equipment.

The 987 generation now occupies an interesting position within the Boxster series: modern enough for regular use, but with the compact dimensions, naturally aspirated boxer engine and analogue appearance that enthusiasts are looking for in this generation.

With its 280 hp 3.2 boxer, GT Silver Metallic, 19-inch Carrera S wheels and BOSE, this Boxster S is an attractive youngtimer for those who want to combine open Porsche driving pleasure and a richer S version." = More information = Current bid: EUR 1000
