Harley-Davidson G Servi-Car

On offer is a special Harley-Davidson Model G Servi-Car from 1937. This classic three-wheeler dates back to the debut year of the updated W Series and represents an interesting chapter in Harley-Davidson's early history. The Servi-Car was developed as a practical three-wheeled motorcycle and was used for service and delivery work, among other things. The model became one of the most recognizable commercial vehicles in Harley-Davidson's history. The year of construction 1937 is particularly interesting for collectors. The early Servi-Car still has several technical features from the transition period. For example, this model is equipped with mechanical brakes all around; Harley-Davidson didn't switch to hydraulic rear brakes until much later. The engine block is also characteristic of this early year of manufacture. While the solo engines of the W series already received the renewed recirculating oil system in 1937, the Servi-Car still retained the older crankcase design. From 1938 onwards, the engine block was further aligned with that of the W solo models. Another special detail is the instrument panel on the tank. In 1937, the Servi-Car first got the tighter dashboard where switches and wiring were neatly concealed in the design. This example has the Dutch registration NM-20-ZF.
