Diversen Siata Diana

1952 Siata Daina Farina convertible - LHD All-aluminum, bodywork built by Stabilimenti Farina. According to the register, only 7 specimens are known worldwide. Very nicely restored. Achieved the highly coveted ASI Targa D'Oro and Fiat Heritage awards for the quality and originality of its restoration. The engine has been completely overhauled and prepared for the Mille Miglia. Siata (Societa Italiana Auto Trasformazioni Accessori) was founded in 1926 in Turin, Italy, by Giorgio Ambrosini and started as a tuning company specializing in customizing FIAs. When the company, which had by then been renamed Siata Auto Spa, finally introduced its first production car in 1949, Fiat parts were the logical choice for the new Amica convertible. In the fifties and well into the sixties, in addition to Fiat's own engines, various American engines were also used, including V8 engines from Crosley, Ford and Chrysler. The Daina model of Siata from the early fifties was based on the Fiat 1400 and was built both as a convertible and coupé; most convertibles were given a body of Stabilimenti Farina and the coupés of Bertone. Later models were given the designation 'SL' (Scatolato Lamiera – literally: sheet metal box). The Daina used the FIAT 1400 overhead valve engine, modified by Siata with a special cylinder head, pistons and a dual-carburetor intake manifold. This 1952 Siata Daina, with chassis number SL 0168 and an aluminum body (except for the doors) by Stabilimenti Farina, was completely restored in 2005-2006 by a northern Italian specialist, strictly respecting the original specifications and colors in which this particular Trasformabile left the Siata factory. = More information = Current bid: EUR 10250
